Drop Chair

The Drop Chair is a sling seat suspended from a tall, continuous line of rolled aluminum pipe.It deconstructs the normative ways in which a body is expected to conform to the frame of a chairand draws proportions that are oversized and exaggerated. Like a throne, the drop chair is ofnon-human scale mimicking a grand arch, or the rising cityscape.
